Before planning your wedding, sit with your partner and discuss what you both want. This is particularly important. You must be both on the same page from the beginning.

Once you know what you want, creating your wedding checklist won’t be much trouble. Here’s my comprehensive checklist of everything you’ll need to do for your wedding. I’m sure it will align perfectly with your wedding plans!

  • Book a Professional Wedding Planner

This is the first thing to do because it’s the most logical step you can take. A wedding planner should be with you from the get-go, overseeing everything and ensuring the planning process goes smoothly.

  • Choose Your Date and Venue

Here’s another important decision to make when planning your wedding. Once you have a date and venue booked, everything else will fall into place. Do you have any Miami wedding venues in mind? Ask your wedding planner for assistance.

  • Send Out Save The Dates

Once you have your date and venue booked, send out save the dates so your guests can start making travel arrangements.

  • Book Your Photographer

A good photographer is essential to capture all the special moments on your big day. Consult your professional wedding planner for vendor recommendations if you’re unsure who to book. Of course, this applies to the other wedding professionals you’ll also need.

  • Choose Your Bridal Party

Who will be by your side on your big day? Will it be very close friends or family or both?

  • Start Dress Shopping

This is one of the most exciting parts of wedding planning. Try on lots of different styles to find the perfect dress for you.

Your wedding planner will happily point you toward the best stylists or bridal boutiques; they might even be working with a few.

  • Plan Your Menu

Your guests will need to be well-fed on your big day. Work with a caterer to create a delicious menu that will please everyone.

  • Book Your Entertainment

From a band to a DJ, ensure you have excellent music to keep your guests entertained. If you’re unsure whether to go with a band or DJ, ask for your wedding planner’s advice; their input can be invaluable.

  • Organize Your Transportation

You’ll need to provide a way for your guests to get to the wedding venue. Miami offers many transportation services, so choose the one that fits your budget.

  • Send Out Invitations

Six to eight weeks before the big day, send out invitations to all of your guests. Of course, this is just what I recommend, but you can send them out earlier if you wish. But don’t send them too early or too late.

  • Get Your Marriage License

You can’t get married without a marriage license. So, apply for one on time.

  • Choose Your Wedding Rings

Your wedding rings will symbolize your love for each other forever, so choose the perfect ones.

  • Start Working on Your Vows

Writing your vows is a great way to personalize your wedding ceremony. Start working on them early, so you have enough time to share your love story with everyone when the day finally comes.

  • Delegate Tasks to Your Bridal Party

Your bridal party can help with everything from addressing invitations to decorating the reception venue. So, delegate some tasks to them to make things easier on yourself.

  • Have Your Final Dress Fitting

This is usually done about a month before the big day, but it could be earlier. Make sure your dress fits perfectly so you’ll feel comfortable and confident on your wedding day.

  • Pack For Your Honeymoon

Start packing for your honeymoon a few weeks in advance, so you’re not scrambling at the last minute.

  • Have A Rehearsal Dinner

A rehearsal dinner is a great way to thank your wedding party for all their help and to get everyone excited for the big day.

  • Get Plenty of Rest

Get plenty of rest the night before your wedding so you’ll feel fresh and relaxed on your big day.

  • Enjoy Your Wedding Day!

This is the most important thing on the checklist: take some time to enjoy your wedding day and savor every moment!

This seems like a lot, doesn’t it? But taking these steps is necessary. And even though this is the order I recommend, no law says you must follow it. What matters the most is you enjoy the experience. And that, in many ways, is why it’s imperative you have the assistance of a professional wedding planner.

So again, I recommend you book them before any other professional because they will bring all the parts together to create something wholesome. But whose services do you secure?
